The Picard Maneuver@lemmy.worldOPto AnarchyChess@sopuli.xyz•Is it possible to learn this power?1·4 days agoA few weeks ago, Gemini got confused when it tried to go first as black multiple times, so that’s the most immediate one I can remember. Last week, chatGPT offered to set up chess puzzles for me, but it made mistakes 3 out of 3 times.
Maybe I’ll try again. Is there a certain one you’ve seen good performance out of?
The Picard Maneuver@lemmy.worldOPto AnarchyChess@sopuli.xyz•Is it possible to learn this power?62·5 days agoI wouldn’t be surprised if it’s literally zero. I’ve tried with a few LLMs, and they’re all very confident that they know how to play chess, but they just start hallucinating illegal moves immediately.

The Picard Maneuver@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Slurs, 911 calls and a crossbow: Records detail neighborhood disputes before Jonathan Joss' killing282·14 days agoYeah, reading the article paints a more complex story than I had been reading on here since his death. The police had come out to their house “four dozen times” before, barbequing in the living room on the day of the house fire, allegedly showing up at his neighbor’s house with a crossbow before the police removed it from the home.
It’s a tragic situation, regardless of whatever details ultimately come out, but I think it’s probably best to let the investigation and courts sort out this mess.

It’s a strange quirk of lemmy that we will continue to be able to see content from lemm.ee even after they’ve shut down. It’ll feel like seeing ghosts.

Now I want this too.

He was on Q30 rounds, which were the ones falsified. It would’ve been basically impossible to falsify a true 1-to-1.
The Picard Maneuver@lemmy.worldto Not The Onion@lemmy.world•FBI reveals there's video to prove Jeffrey Epstein killed himselfEnglish262·23 days agoThis is unfortunately very common even in hospitals. Busy (or lazy) staff just check off their rounds without actually seeing patients all the time, so I think this is 100% plausible in a jail.
Yeah, it is more than average. The average number of lifetime sexual (I didn’t see data for just “dating”) partners for an individual is in the single digits, around 4-7.
The Picard Maneuver@lemmy.worldOPto Lemmy Be Wholesome@lemmy.world•Obviously the answer is yes9·25 days agoI’ve seen videos of some of these for honey, eggs, etc. Sometimes there’s a sort of vending machine, but often if it’s rural/small town, they can just get by with the honor system: drop money into a box, grab what you paid for.

I just googled it, and surprisingly the number actually is 12.
Always happy to do my part.
